During the 1960s many movements and events were done , one that impacted the United States was   The Civil Rights movement.

  The Civil Right movement started in 1955 and continued all the way to 1968 expanding its way to gain rights for African Americans. The point of it was to stop the racial discrimination against African Americans.  

    The great supporters of the Civil Rights movement   were Martin Luther Jr. King, Robert Williams, ans Malcom X followed by others. Robert Williams was a leader of the Civil Rights. Malcom X addressed the organization of   African Unity in 1964. Martin Luther Jr. King was a big support of The Civil Rights movement, a very important day for him was on march 28, 1965 when he called for a boycott of Alabama Buses. A great speech he gave, that conquered many souls.

   Rosa Parks an African American Civils Rights activist. On december 1, 1955 Rosa became famous for refusing to obey a bus driver named James Blake who ordered her to give up her seat to a white passenger. She wanted to know show what she was valued just as every black women.

   This action started the Montgomery Bus Boycott, one of the largest movements against racial segregation. Just like the other movements they were all made to help the African Americans. These people will be remembered and thanked for their good deeds.
