The Legend of Orenthal James Simpson Born July 9th, 1947, Orenthal James (O.J.) Simpson was born to do great things. After a short Junior College football career, OJ transferred to the football powerhouse USC. In 1967 he ran for 1451 yards and 11 touchdowns on his way to placing second in heisman voting. At this point he was a Trojan hero. In 1968 he rushed for 1709 yards and scored an astounding 22 touchdowns. This would catapult him to the desired title of Heisman winner. He would then become one of the greatest USC players to ever live. He was drafted first overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 1969 draft. It seemed that this Trojan's career could only go higher. |
From the Pulp: The Story of the Juice Some people (USC fans Sam Chang*cough cough*) remember that OJ Simpson was one of their college football teams greatest players. Others remember that OJ Simpson was the key defendant in what most people consider the trial of the century. OJ Simpson was arrested for the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson on June 12, 1994. OJ with an amazing team of lawyers that managed to have all the charges against him drop despite the amazing amount of indisputable evidence against this former Trojan running back. After his acquittal, he was in a civil suit where he lost the sum of 32 + million dollars.
