There were many important people, events, and movements in history throughout 1784-1800s. One of the most important people involved in the years between 1784-1800 was George Washington. Overall the most important event in history was The Washingon Farewell Address. The most important movement that occured in our history between 1784-1800 was the writting of the Constitution of the United States.

                George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in Virginia. He became the first president of the United States in 1789 and served through 1797. George Washington led American's Continental Army and was also the commander in chief for the second continental congress in 1776. He was known to all Amerca as "first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen" George Washington died on December 14, 1799.

                The Washington Farewell Adress was a speech that George Washimgton wrote for the people of the United States during his second term of his presidency. In September 19, 1796 it was published in the newspaper all over America. George Washington was asked to do a second term and accepted but he refused the third. It was called The Farewell Adress because the people gave it that title. The Farewell address was so important because of what it said. It stated the problems that were growing in the political side and announced his withdrawal from politics. In the Farewell Address he stated, "While choice and prudence invite me to quit the political scene, patriotism does not forbid it. "

                The most important movement of 1784-1800 was the movement to ratify the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution was made to reassure that it would protect the rights of the people. The anti-federalists didn't want the constitution to be ratified and the Federalists did. Although there was a dispute on wether to ratify it or not, it became ratified. Only 9 out of 13 states had to agree with the Constitution for it to be ratified. Arguments began to follow debating wether or not the Constitution should be ratified or not.The Federalists were for the ratification of the Constitutiion but the anit-federalists were against it and they believed that if the Constitution were to be ratified it would need bill os rights. The Constitution was completed in Philadelphia on September 17,1787.

                In conclusion, these years were very important to our history today. George Washington was one of the most important persons in the United States history and very admired as well. The Washington Farewell Address and the Constitution of the United States were two very important things that ocurred in our history that we remember till this day. Our lives would be very different if this event and movement wouldn't of have occurred.
