In the 1970's the technology was advancing whether it was with weapons, home entertainment, medicine or travel. Space travel was also a big interesting issue in the 1970s.

      In the 1970's the weapons and medicine were advancing. The "neutron bomb" was created and this bomb will destroy all living things but will leave all the buildings intact. In medicine, ultrasound diagnose techniques were developed. The first test tube baby was born; developed from an artificially inseminated egg implanted in the mother's womb, the baby was Louise Brown

      The technology in home entertainment and travel also was advancing. For home entertainment the videocassette recorder was made . Atari produced the first low-priced integrated circuit TV game . The floppy disk was made for the computers. A year later the microprocessor was made. In travel the jumbo jet was made doubling the capacity for passengers and increasing the flight range to 6000 miles. In cars the safety features were getting airbags and four-wheel drive equipped.

      Space exploration was very interesting issue in the 1970's. Apollo 17 brought back 250 samples of rocks and soil from the moon. Space exploration reached its peak in the 1970s with the ambitious voyager program aimed at outer planets in the solar system, although Apollo lunar flights terminated in 1972. Stephen Hawking developed his theories of black holes and the boundary condition of the universe at this period .

      The 1970's was full of great advancing technology. Whether it was in weapons, medicine, travel, space exploration, or home entertainment it was advancing in the 1970's.
